Fresnedi calls for locals’ active participation on 2015

As offices across the country resume today, Muntinlupa LGU greeted the “business as usual” day with a bang!

The City Government of Muntinlupa jumpstarted the New Year with a ceremonial toast in the flag raising rite, Monday morning. Local officials and employees kicked-off the first day of work with merriment. A simple fete was celebrated and blowing of horns as tradition in facing a new year was highlighted.

Mayor Fresnedi then recounted undertakings of the city over the past year and thanked the local government employees’ contribution to feats of Muntinlupa.The local chief honored the work forces behind what he called a well-driven city.

Fresnedi said that the City Government’s clear vision to attain inclusive growth through executing it altogether made and will continue to make Muntinlupa a strong state.

“Though our city faced a lot of hardships and trials in 2014, it did not deter us from standing firm and serving our people. Quality service, good financial management and good governance due to our constituents have been delivered through our cohesion,” Fresnedi added.

He attributed the city’s achievements in the collective effort and synergy of the employees in efficiently delivering public service to Muntinlupeños.

Fresnedi acknowledged that 2014 was a successful year because of the cooperation of the people and officials. “We can’t do it all by ourselves – the people’s participation made it a success.”

The local government of Muntinlupa readies for a fast-paced growth, one of its preparation was the launching of satellite offices at Starmall Alabang that caters services of BPLO, Police Department (Clearance), City Assessor’s and Treasury Office.

“As we look forward this 2015, we are certain that Muntinlupa will continue to thrive when we work hand-in-hand to carry out public service and facilitate development for all,” Fresnedi spurred.

In addition, LGU employees were also encouraged to take part in the information campaign of the Renewal of Business Permits conducted by the Business Permits and Licensing Office.

Stakeholders are scheduled to renew licenses on January 5 -20 at SM Center Muntinlupa. BPLO Satellite Booths will be organized in the event to accommodate the growing number of entrepreneurs in Muntinlupa. Owners of business establishments in the city are encouraged to renew permits early to avoid penalties.
