Depressed areas in Las Pinas get medicines

Some 80 families in Las Piñas City, totaling about 400 persons, have availed themselves of free medical consultations and medicines from a civic partnership between a local business and the community.

Spearheaded by Skeen Face & Body Centre, in cooperation with DBP Village Home Owners Association II and Our Lady of Fatima of DBP Village II, the project was aimed at helping the depressed communities of Barangay Almanza II.

The team was led by Dr. Gisela Trajano-Sarmiento, her husband Dr. Richard Sarmiento and sister Johanna Gay Trajano-Cruz, assisted by some 50 volunteers.

Donors were Vivian Bangayan, CATA Innovations, Interiore Koncepts Trading Corp., Phil-Jap Atlas Asia Corp., United Laboratories, Lenzib Corp., Hovid Inc., Natrapharm Patriot Phils., Dermskin, Niko’s (K&N Medical Supplies), Zenaust Phils. and Darla da Silva.
