Several of our readers had reached out to us complaining about the traffic and the hassle that the mentioned flooding have been causing to their everyday travels along Daanghari.

“I pass by that area everyday and the traffic is unbelievable due to the flood every morning,” said one motorist, adding that she noticed that the knee-deep flooding only happens during mornings.

Barangay Ayala Alabang then issued a statement regarding the flooding.

In its Facebook Page, it explained the cause of the flooding:

The DPWH and Muntinlupa City Engineering offices are currently investigating the source of suspected sewer waste emptying into a creek inside Ayala Alabang Village.

To aid in the investigation, AAV had to block its storm drain which is connected to TS Cruz Subdivision, Landers Superstore and Seaside Daang Hari. This has resulted in an overflow of water on Daang-Hari that has caused traffic congestion in the area.

Barangay Ayala Alabang appeals for the public’s patience and understanding while the investigation is ongoing.

For sure, not only motorists will be happy about knowing what the cause is but that action is currently being done to address the matter.

Thank you to all the agencies working together to try to solve this.
