Call center job fair in Paranaque; Read all about it here

Parañaqueños will now have another opportunity to find work, as the City Government of Parañaque under the leadership of Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Jr. in cooperation with SYKES will be holding a job fair this coming Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Taxpayer’s Lounge of City Hall.

Coordinating with SYKES for the said job fair will be the office of City Councilor Benjo Bernabe. The job fair is part of the City Government’s on-going efforts to provide more employment opportunities for the residents in the City.  The call center industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the country that constantly hires applicants for customer related or sales positions.

Positions available at the said company are Customer Service Representatives and Technical Support Representatives.  Applicants must be 18 years old and above; completed a two year college course or higher; good in English and must have basic computer knowledge.

“It is our dream to see our constituents land a good job where they can support their love ones as well as provide incentives that enables them rise up among the ranks and the call center industry is one such industry.  We are grateful to SYKES for providing our constituents an opportunity to apply for job in their company,” Mayor Bernabe said.

Mayor Bernabe and Councilor also called on all qualified applicants to go to the job fair and apply for the positions offered by SYKES for be a chance for them to land a good job with the company.  Apart from the said job fair, Mayor Bernabe’s administration through the Parañaque Livelihood Resource Management Office headed by Ms. Doris Marquez also holds jobs fairs in the City every quarter as well as livelihood programs to provide skills training for residents to find work or create their own business.
