Alabang Mango Tee slated Jan. 31

MANILA, Philippines –  Preparations are in full swing for the 27th edition of the Mango Tee, the member-guest tournament of the Alabang Country Club, slated on Jan. 31-Feb. 5.

Over 380 teams are seeing action in the six-day event, one of major club invitationals scheduled in the first two months of the year and has again drawn the support of major companies.

Pilipinas Shell, Smart Infinity and Pancake House are the Platinum sponsors while Mitsubishi Motors and Citimotors are the hole-in-one sponsors.

ACCI president Luis Morales and event chairman Martin Lorenzo are working in tandem to ensure the successful staging of the event kicking off with the opening ceremonials on Jan. 29. Former President Fidel V. Ramos and prominent VIPs are expected to be in attendance.

Morales, golf committee chair Jojo Gana and the rest of the Alabang board are on top of the preparations together with the Mango Tee committee composed of Boy Aldana, Jan Barandiaran, Johnny Chan, Paul Ching, Jun Garcia, Monching Garcia, Gerry Handog, Angel Ong, Joey Reyes and Art Tugade.

Alabang general manager Cynthia Matias bared the first batch of generous sponsors whose support are crucial to the success of the event.

Golforce, Zesto Corp. Duty Free Phils, Bellevue, BPI Assets are the major sponsors.

PacSports/Club Car is also a hole-in-one sponsor while Outback Steakhouse is sponsoring the cocktails and awards ceremony.
