20 Chinese women rescued in Paranaque prostitution den

Wow.

Some 53 Chinese women were rescued today at a suspected prostitution den in Baclaran, Paranaque.

According to police, the operation also netted 4 Chinese men, reportedly responsible for managing the business as well as 7 Filipinas who were working there as cleaners.

The operation was carried out after a tip from someone that a three-storey condominium in the area was being used as a prostitution den.

It can be remembered that 7 foreign workers were also apprehended early this month in Makati. The tip supposedly came from this incident.

The women’s services were allegedly being “sold” for P9,000 to P22,000.

Reports further noted that most of the clientele are also Chinese men who could rent out some of the 30 rooms in the condo.

One of the Filipino cleaners revealed that the prostitution den opened from 5pm to 5am and sometimes extends during weekends.

20 Chinese customers were also caught during the raid.

Paranaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez said their office received reports of suspicious activities within the area, hence, the operation.

He added that the condominium building does not even have an occupancy permit much more a business permit.

Those arrested are facing complaints for violating the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012.
